Hello Readers,
NASA's New Horizon became the first aircraft to flew by Pluto. It passed just 7750 miles away from Pluto the dwarf planet. The incident occurred 7.59 am ET Tuesday. It gave us a completely new view about Pluto. New Horizon was busy taking photos of the dwarf planet. It took about 4.5 hours to transmit photos to earth. That's the reason we have received the photos on Wednesday afternoon.
New Horizon travelled 3 billion miles to travel Pluto. Well that is incredible - an achievement of its own. It was launched on 2006. It reached Jupiter on 2007 and then it took another decade to fly by Pluto. The travel speed as high as 50,000 miles per hour is awesome and something remarkable.
Hats off NASA!
